Sustainable grape cultivation is a method of growing grapes that aims to maintain a balance between environmental, social, and economic aspects over the long term. This approach emphasizes respecting the natural ecology, community, and labor rights during grape cultivation and wine production, while ensuring economic viability.
The objectives of sustainable grape cultivation include:
-
Environmental Protection: Minimizing adverse impacts on land, water sources, and ecosystems, reducing the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and promoting soil health.
-
Social Responsibility: Respecting local communities, supporting the local economy, providing good labor conditions, and upholding labor rights.
-
Economic Sustainability: Ensuring the sustainability of grape cultivation and wine production, promoting business models aligned with sustainable development.
Sustainable grape cultivation takes a long-term perspective, aiming to ensure that the grape growing industry can consistently provide high-quality grapes and wines while safeguarding our environment and society.
